The Adelaide Dinnerware Collection
Meet the Adelaide Dinnerware Collection, inspired by a 1770 woodland Toile de Jouy pattern. Toile de Jouy designs first became popular in 18th-century Ireland, England, and France, and today they remain a standard of elegance in home decor. Usually, they depict intricate pastoral scenes that repeat on solid backgrounds, and they are often found on fabrics and other housewares. The pattern on our Adelaide Dinnerware Collection features a romantic spring scene of birds singing among flowering branches in an intricately-printed woodland tableau.
Elegant and Modern
Drawing on the elegant style of 18th-century European society, Adelaide dinnerware lends a refined, traditional appearance to the table. But the appeal of the Toile de Jouy pattern is perennial, and, in recent years, it has regained popularity. In our Adelaide Dinnerware Collection, this timeless motif meets with the modern appeal of 222 Fifth ceramics, artfully crafted by our designers in New York City and painstakingly produced by our artisans in Indonesia.
Functional and Beautiful
At 222 Fifth, we design our dinnerware for you and for your home. Like you, we recognize that home, and all that fills it, ought not only to be useful, but beautiful. We believe in quality and in style, in value and in appeal, in function and in form. Our dinnerware is designed to be a long-lasting and enriching element of the life that you lead and that you share with those you love. This is our passion, and it is our hope that you would choose to welcome us to your table.
